Dr. S.Vijayan has made substantial contributions to the fields of Power Electronics and Drives, FPGA, DSP, and special electrical machines. His research emphasizes the modelling, simulation, design, and implementation of intelligent control strategies for SRM drives, incorporating fuzzy logic, ANFIS, and self-tuning algorithms implemented in real-time using FPGA and DSP platforms. He has successfully guided 21 Ph.D. scholars under Anna University, Chennai, and continues to mentor researchers in emerging technologies.With 62 research publications in reputed national and international journals and conferences, his scholarly work has earned 1127 citations, along with an h-index of 16 and an i10-index of 24, reflecting the high impact of his contributions. He has served as Chief Patron for several IEEE and Springer-sponsored international conferences including ICCMC and ICMSS, fostering innovation and global collaboration in engineering research.Dr.S.Vijayan is a Life Member of ISTE and a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE – since 1989). He has served on Boards of Studies and Question Paper Committees for reputed institutions such as PSG College of Technology, Annamalai University, Bharathiar University, and others. He has also organized several AICTE- and DST-sponsored faculty development programs, seminars, and entrepreneurship awareness camps, and has secured government research and training grants totalling ₹10,00,000.

Administratively, he has served as Principal, HoD, and NBA/NAAC coordinator, achieving accolades like NAAC A for RVS College and boosting pass percentages significantly (e.g., 21% to 63% in 2023). He has secured AICTE grants worth Rs. 12.55 lakhs for faculty development and innovation programs. Dr. Kannan is also active in professional bodies (ISTE, SAE), has organized events like hackathons, and contributed to community service as an NSS officer for 10 years. His achievements include 100% student placement at RVS and awards for academic excellence. He is currently guiding two Ph.D. scholars and remains a key figure in curriculum development and accreditation processes.

He has 6.6 years of industrial experience and 18 years of teaching experience. He completed his Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) at PSNA College of Engineering and Technology, Dindigul, followed by a Master of Engineering (M.E.) at Anna University, Coimbatore, and later earned his Ph.D. from Anna University, Chennai, specializing in Materials Science.
He has published 20 research papers in various national and international journals. He is a life member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and the Institute of Automotive Engineers (IAE). He has presented a paper at an international conference in Malaysia and has also organized two international conferences at RVS Technical Campus, Coimbatore

Dr. S. Ashok Kumar is heading the department of Science and Humanities. He has been awarded Ph.D. degree in Physics in the year 2014. He has a total experience of ten years in academic and research. He has published 15 research papers in international journals and participated in a number of conferences and seminars. His areas of research interest in Nanoscience and Technology, nanocomposites, and Nanobiomaterials. He serves as a reviewer of more than 10 journals which includes Saudi Journal of Biological, Biomedical and Environmental Science, Spectrochemica Acta Part A: Molecular and Biomolecular Spectroscopy, Process Biochemistry, Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Materials Science and Engineering B are a few to mention.
