Discipline and Welfare Committee

Objectives

Discipline serves as the bridge between aspirations and accomplishments. As such, education should instill moral values and foster happiness among learners. Every educator and educational institution should aim to integrate fundamental human values into the teaching process.

The Disciplinary Committee is dedicated to maintaining order, respect, decorum, and discipline within the institute. It achieves this by enforcing rules and regulations, channeling youthful energy into constructive and creative endeavors, and fostering good manners, personality development, and character building.

1. To emphasize the importance of discipline and ensure students are aware of and adhere to the institute’s disciplinary rules.
2. To take appropriate action in cases of misconduct.
3. To address student concerns and foster a positive, healthy environment within the college.

Functions of the committee

1. To make the rules and regulations as per the disciplinary requirement.
2. To make the student aware about the discipline.
3. To make the student follow the disciplinary rules.
4. To take disciplinary action against any of the misconduct.
5. To ensure calm and peaceful academic atmosphere in the campus.
6. To avoid physical confrontation among students.
7. To conduct enquiries on report of indisciplinary activities among students.
8. To initiate model actions against students involved in indisciplinary activities.
9. To initiate steps to reduce violence, confrontation in future.

Responsibilities of Discipline Committee

1. To maintain a serene and conducive academic atmosphere on campus.
2. To prevent any physical confrontations among students.
3. To ensure that all students visibly display their ID cards while on campus.
4. To enforce a complete ban on the use of cell phones by students during class sessions.
5. To oversee student movement within the college and discourage unnecessary loitering in the corridors during working hours.
6. To prevent students from leaving the campus prematurely without proper authorization from the designated authorities.
7. To strictly prohibit smoking and drinking within the college premises.
8. To uphold discipline in the college canteen and student waiting areas during working hours.
9. To collaborate with the anti-ragging committee in effectively eliminating ragging within the college.
This committee will meet at least once in a semester and submit its minutes of meeting to Principal for necessary actions.
