Overview
Environmental Engineering is the integration of sciences and engineering principles to improve the environment, to provide healthy water, air, and land for human habitation and other organisms and to clean up polluted sites. It is a branch of engineering that deals with the protection of environment and protect human health by proper intervention with the help of infrastructure and engineering. The major role deals with controlling pollution and suggesting novel methods to control pollution at the source site. Environmental engineers seek solutions to environmental challenges that impact the health and well-being of society and the environment. The technical skills environmental engineers learn are used to develop strategies and technologies to treat and protect the quality of air, water and earth. Environmental Engineering is a four-year undergraduate program that helps interested students to work for the betterment of the environment where they can develop new techniques to improve the use of renewable and non-renewable sources available.
