Cyber Security

Overview

Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security) is an academic programme that integrates the field of Computer Engineering. The Department had a beginning with an intake of 30 students in Under Graduate program in Computer Science and Engineering (B.E.) in the year 2024. It is one of the most sought after courses amongst engineering students. The course contains the basics of computer programming and networking. The topics covered in the course are computation, algorithms, programming languages, program design, computer software, computer hardware, and others. Computer science engineers are involved in many aspects of computing, from the design of individual microprocessors, personal computers, and supercomputers to circuit designing and writing software that powers them. Many technical institutes in India and abroad offer UG (Undergraduate) and PG (Postgraduate) level courses in Computer Science and Engineering. Students can do B.E and M.E in Computer Science and Engineering from these institutes. Students pursuing these courses get to learn about the design, implementation, and management of information systems of computer hardware and software.

The course trains the students of the basics and different aspects of computer engineering. It includes foundations of computer systems, computer architecture & organization, networking, the theory of computation, database systems, electronics, operating systems, programming and website designing, E- commerce & multimedia applications, principles of programming languages, software engineering, hardware engineering, etc.

Career in B.E is considered one of the most high-paying jobs and is imbued with opportunities; particularly in an era where India’s prowess in information technology industry is recognized globally. Also, computer engineers have a range of options to work in IT companies in departments such as design, development, assembly, manufacture and maintenance, etc. B.E Computer Engineers are the most wanted employees in abroad.
